An exciting and diverse exhibition of works by members and invited artists. Brumalia is an ancient Roman festival celebrated at the time of the Winter solstice to honour the gods Bacchus, acknowledged as the god of wine, and Saturn, the god of agricultural abundance as a time of rejoicing and merriment. The festival’s name deriving from the Latin root ‘bruma’ implying the shortest day in noun form. The exhibition brings together a diverse array of works produced by the Club’s elected artist members and invited guest artists Le Liu and Sharon Thomas. A number of works will also feature in a display of affordable small works.
